At the Zoo again

7-17-08

My dear friend Zildy needed a sitter for her kids because the normal sitter was at girls camp, so took her kids for the day. And lucky them because it was a day that we were going to the zoo. I could take them for free with our Zoo Pass so off we went.

The kids spent over an hour in the stinky snake and bird house (by the way it is the porcupine that makes the whole building stink). They were fascinated by all the different snakes and I had to drag them out. I think it is because the snakes are fun to find since they don't sit out in the open. But then again it could be because they are so pretty. Tressa and Shayden really liked finding where each of the dead bugs on the wall were from by using the colored dots on the cards and the dots on the world map. Don't you love it when kids are learning without realizing it!

After the zoo we went to Liberty Park for lunch and swimming since lunch is Free and the Manuel's hadn't been able to go before. More splashing, sitting, and chasing . This time they chased my empty water bottle, which floated better and longer then the cardboard boat. But wasn't nearly as cute or creative. Mean while I read in the shade. So everyone had a great time.
