Monday Field Trips have begun!

My friend Zildy and I decided to do a weekly outing for our kids this summer. Which later became known as the Monday Field Trips-since the where on Monday. We started them in July and had one every week until school started. Once we got a plan in place Zildy made some calenders and we invited some friends and neighbors. Our friends came often, our neighbors never did. Oh-well

7-7-2008 The first MFT we took was to a candy factory which I can't remember the name of. Zildy and I took our kids to a park down in Pleasant Grove called Discovery Park that morning. We got lost due to the switching street numbers between the city's in Utah County and it took much longer then we thought. But the kids had fun at the park for the little bit of time they had there.

We had to run to get to the candy tour on time and were still a few minutes late. Luckily the rest of our group were on time to hold out place. The candy factory was really fun. We all had to wear those silly blue hair net things to be able to walk around on the tour. We ate lots of samples, talked with our friends and learned some new things. For instance- each jelly bean takes between 7 to 21 days to make. And to be a jelly bean maker you have to train for over a year. hehe I love trivial knowledge. It was a great start to our summer field trips.
